Many people have been arguing on the fact that tradition is an obstacle to progress.
Is it really so?
what is tradition?
History tells us what man has done,
Science tells us what man has made,
literature tells us what man has thought,
religion tells us what man has believed,
philosophy tells us what man has felt,
but culture and civilization i.e tradition tells us how man has lived!
It is very important to understand the evolution of mankind, the history, inventions and progress of mankind. Tradition has changed yes, but it has to be constructive.
If it is replacing the superstitions that hamper our progress , it is good. Just for the sake of development and falsehood of liberal thoughts, we should not change our tradition wherever we are. East is copying west and viceversa.
What does it indicate?
Changes are not to be done for the sake of boredom. Each individual has to think why he has to, what does he benefit from it? How does he help the society in such a change. We should not do just for monetary benefits and recognition of change.
Change is permanent, what, when and why the change must be meaningful
